Ummm. That’s pretty messed up, right? And his art is so underrated, hopefully the new artist can hold his own.

Feel like it defeats the purpose of continuing a manga adaptation if you're just going to replace the Japanese artist with an Italian artist

I bought a few of square enix volumes to check it out.

Yeah, it wasn't a great way to continue. Won't be continuing with the series. Marvel already put out a comic version so if it isn't by a Japanese artist, I don't much see the point.
