To be fair the average Fortnite player is probably like 13 so they'd still be in diapers when Kizuna Ai debuted.

This is both funny and sad.

The tiktok brainrot is starting to settle in, common sense has left the building.

In all fairness when I was 13 I had this thing called a brain that looked at things and questioned them. But I was outside most of the time so it was more for shenanigans, fun and used at the arcade.

Maybe I'm misremembering, but wasn't Kizuna Ai deliberately marketed as being an artificial intelligence early on in her career? I could have sworn that was part of the virtual idol gimmick (hence the "Ai" name) at least for a while, until the actor/performer behind her was publicly confirmed.

Lore-wise. But everyone knew she was a real person. It's not like Neuro-sama who actually is an AI and everyone knows it. It's also why they did the whole "multiple A.I" thing

Her character lore is an AI, but it's pretty obvious from the get go that she's played by human. She's basically like many AI/robot characters in anime/game/film. The only difference is Nozomi Kasuga was originally not credited until she admitted she played Ai.
