I'm looking forward to dragon-cat and demon-cat meeting each other.

I wonder about the cat that turned into a human adventurer, he didn't get married to a human, and more importantly pro create with a human? More likely to his human colleges he is just someone who is married to the adventure.

@zfunk your question is well timed since we did get to see the cat that turned human in this week's episode. Not a lot of information was revealed but he did become an adventurer, joined a party and defeated the demon king. Hopefully one of the future episodes will feature him.
Episode 4 was another good one. It is no wonder that the Cat Dragon is so careful about sending cats into human cities since they tend to find a human to accompany on their quest. Kurobane and the prince make for a fun pair. The former is a big softy who is very capable while the latter has grown to be rather wild, that bit with the rabbit was suprising.

So, yeah, this one's here to stay on my seasonal calendar unless something goes horribly, horribly wrong. I had a few small reservations when I realized that this was going to be an anthology anime with a varied assortment of characters loosely connected by a family of cait siths, but I'm completely loving the gift basket approach.
I got a kick out of watching the prince go into Tarzan mode. I think the anime more than made it's point that he's a wild one. It also sounds like the cat turned human (sort of) didn't just become an adventurer, he became one of the party that defeated a demon lord, which is usually about as high status as you can get in these things. It's generally like winning the adventurer world series or something, and I hope we get a flashback story of it.

So the prince and the king in this episode, there are decedents of the prince from episode 1? The whole time line is so confusing. But is fun to guess.

I didn't love the prince, but his cat buddy is great and the great thing about the format is it's something new next week!
There's also a magic to the presentational style where moving chronologically quickly and keeping the world building out of focus makes the lore you do get about a very ordinary fantasy world way more interesting than in shows that offer stacks of exposition.

This week had the adventures of a very persistant cat and not Megumin. The former wanted to explore the wide world but has been swayed to stay in one location due to soup and the latter needs some training. She can use explosion 20 times in a row though. The stakes were low this week but I enjoyed the calm vibe it had going for it, the reverend gives me the feeling that he was quite the adventurer.

Maybe I've just learned to distrust clergy in anime, but when he wanted to talk to the cat in his magic-sealed special room, I kept waiting for him to whip out his moustache and try to seal the Cait Sith away or something. I guess his respect for helicopter Dragon Daddy eventually eased my fears.
But they live a long time, so kitty still has time to go adventuring in the mountains after Soup Girl passes on. Might as well stick around awhile while the soup's hot (even if it's lacking turtles).
Beautiful Soup, so rich and green,
Waiting in a hot tureen!
Who for such dainties would not stoop?
Soup of the evening, beautiful Soup!
Soup of the evening, beautiful Soup!
Beau--ootiful Soo--oop!
Beau--ootiful Soo--oop!
Soo--oop of the e--e--evening,
Beautiful, beautiful Soup!
Beautiful Soup! Who cares for fish,
Game or any other dish?
Who would not give all else for two
Pennyworth only of Beautiful Soup?
Pennyworth only of beautiful Soup?
Beau--ootiful Soo--oop!
Beau--ootiful Soo--oop!
Soo--oop of the e--e--evening,
Beautiful, beauti--FUL SOUP!

For a second there I thought you were channeling or on drugs, Gina (well, I guess you still could be - I don't want to jump to any conclusions ) but I'm a Lewis Carroll fan too.
I have to say, this show has no shortage of cute cats doing cute things - and sometimes not so cute things - but this episode's cat saith really poured on the adorbs,
I haven't had any complaints about the gift basket format so far, but it made me a little sad when I realized I probably wouldn't see more of this week's protagonists next week. I do hope they will return to some of those "another stories" they keep referring to at the end of each episode. Any one of the episodes thus far could be the pilot for a spin-off anime that I'd keep watching.
edited once for minor grammar fix.

I couldn't resist. "Soup" is a funny word, and I've always loved the soup song more than a soupçon. Oops, soup's on, gotta run! ::flees::
