Interesting the conflict has extraterrestrial influence. Usually Gundam is the odd man out by not having that. Still, Kamiyama is present, there will be seats filled

The designs and premise are a tad underwhelming (not to mention it looks like we're stuck with all CGI robots...), but Toh Enjoe's involvement is intriguing. Although I guess he's not doing any scripting.
As ever, keeping an open mind.
The tie-in with a major video game using a different story in the timeline is an interesting move. Back in the early 00's when we had things like Eureka 7 getting a Playstation 2 side story game as it was airing, it seemed like that'd become a new media mix norm, but we kind of fell back to more typical licensed game stuff.

Really like the look of this. Great character designs and a rock solid staff... fingers crossed this is an actual TV series and not a movie...

It's Kamiyama, we're gonna be stuck with more than just out-of-place CGI robots lol
But really not a fan of this trend of Sunrise farming Gundam out to other studios. It's one thing when there's a degree of prestige involved like collaborating with khara (not going into any of the shortcomings of GQuuuuuux itself), but now we're handing it to a studio whose only output is the Lord of the Rings movie shunted out the door and left to die in the theaters because it only got made to maintain film rights

I really liked SAC, but Kamiyamas more recent SAC work is 2045, so... While I like lots of things that are ultimately multimedia projects (and given the toys Gundam always has been in one sense) I don't find starting as a prequel to an in development game promising.
Still, I've watched 9 different Gundam AUs and I've enjoyed (to quite different extents, admittedly) 8 of them. So I'll go in hopefully.

Hopefully this project will be closer to Stand Alone Complex compared to Stand Alone Complex: 2045. I say that even though I think SAC2045 had an interesting story that was really bogged down by ridiculous visuals.

At the very least it's interesting to see it go a different route by involving aliens

You know, I have a feeling this new concept might had been competing with what eventually became the Gundam Eight manga. They both leaned hard into sci-fi with these radical ideas.
Well, at least us old fans still get new UC stories in manga.

I'm still of the mind that I wanna see the lead up to and era of/beyond F91 in UC Gundam covered thoughtfully, but....
This has my interest. The last time they had something of an extraterrestrial element was 00 Gundam, and it's something that hasn't been explored too much in other Gundam media.
It effing pains me to say it, but the protag looks a lot more solid as a not-young boy dude. I hate that the big main Gundam show with the yuri duo leads is one of the messiest Gundam shows since Reconguista, and yet here we are - this immediately has that "it" factor. I'm in..... dammit.....
I really wish Witch From Mercury had gotten better treatment.... dammit....

I can see the Gundam Eight comparison. The last 2 Gundam shows were overproduced rubbish, so things can only look up, and I liked what I saw. These names are also only getting more insane but Tomino started this tradition.
Toh Enjoe is the wild card here. His only anime script that doesn´t directly transplant source material is the incomprehensible Godzilla Singular Point but I will say that the way his GitS is currently structured makes no sense and negatively stretches the already messy source.

I like the character designs. Pretty lukewarm on everything else, though.
At this point I'm gonna assume it's going to be another miniseries, like GQuuuuuuX.

Holding onto what little hope I have left. The last few Gundam series haven't been good at all. Requiem for Vengeance & Hathaway are great but GQX and G-Witch where mediocre.

Personally, I found Witch and Requiem disappointing in both plot and script. Cool mecha designs, though.
Qu9x, a big party which doesn't really care about such things as "plot" or "character development". It was a big "What if" where the staff could do whatever they liked.
I haven't watched Hathaway II yet -no, it's not a joke, I don't have Netflix.
So, no teenage characters? Good. Fighting aliens/monsters? Bad. I know that recent Gundam series forget the "war is bad" angle in order to give us more "cool robots". But that's not Gundam for me. It's model p*rn.

I saw the teaser, and I love what I saw.
The Gundam looks pretty badass!!
The character designs look great.
Can't wait to see what Kamiyama-san has in store for Gundam.
studio khara did an interesting take on the Universal Century with GQuuuuuuX.

I haven’t watched a Gundam series since either the TV adaptation of Unicorn or part of season 2 and given how that turned out along with the newer series in their second half’s….
