Note: someone on AnimeX.Com posted a report from notes he took at this meeting. Users will have to sign up (free) to read. To me, the most interesting thing he said was his comment/complaint that anime producers are more and more imitating Hollywood film producers and tend to value 'movement' -- which means 'action' I guess -- over story, "and so you get things like The Matrix Part Three." Much audience laughter at this comment.

o.o hey I love a powerfull story built into a high action movie or series. I'll remain a Shirow fan ^^
But don't give up hope on me, I'm watching gasaraki, kare kano and i have naruto and kimagure orange road on the shelf to be watched next. I do love a good story and action only goes so far for me, but I love it too. |
