Evangelion - coming to a close?

Well, I have a giftcard and I'm looking into to buying something online that isn't discontinued, but no longer is really in stock in local stores, and by that, I mean Evangelion.

I know many people say its a great series, in fact, even MORE enjoyable than the anime. For me, I love adaptations. I love seeing familiar faces and how they act in other 'universes', and with Evangelion, I'm already excited to see another alternate ending to the story with the movie series. The manga of course, would have yet another ending.

However, I KNOW the series has been going on for... how long? Volume 11 came out not too long ago but volume 10 was out much longer ago than that (if I remember correctly though, the series in Japan went on hiatus in vol. 9). So my question here, before I DO decide to go for it and start the series, is for those up to date with it: does it seem like it is coming to a close sometime soon? I'm not going to compare it to X (knowing it is definately on hiatus for an unknown amount of time), but in similarity of something I also won't pick up, until it gets an ending that won't take years to get to.

Basically, if it still seems like it still has another arc or so to go through, then I'll go for Nausicaa >_>

Well, events in the end of vol. 11 match the beginning of End of Evangelion. So, another one or two volumes still left, but who knows when they'll be out.

Hm yeah for some reason I thought vol 11 had started the climax. Good to know that it's coming to a close soon, and I'm guessing maybe 13 volumes... I suppose I will try it out^^

Eva is like my favorite manga series. I have volumes 1-8 and 10...I cannot find 9 anywhere in the stores so I ordered it off of Borders and it turned out it was backordered Confused SO i still haven't got it yet which rele sux...But its your decision if you wanna buy them cause they are rele good..its just u might run into problems like mine Sad If u dont then Nausicaa is rele good, I have volumes 1-3 right now and their amazing...its just if you buy from stores more then online they can be rele hard to find...

Yeah I did end up ordering vol 1-4. I noticed that some of Nausicaa's volumes weren't available anyways >_> I hate it when good things go OOP or just stop getting stocked in store shelves :/
