Just to say this ahead of time to those wondering, I am NOT using this thread to b*&^$ out ADV manga. I am going to be very civil and "happy" with them because they have a whole bunch of other manga I like, even if they are screwing up some titles. Anime smallmouth + sweatdrop

Anyway, I just recently noticed ADVmanga has updated their catalog with most of their recently bought titles, and have updated their release dates.

http://www.adv-manga.com/
Yay to release dates... though the only titles I'm probably going to buy on there are Aria 2, FMP 5, and R2 1. On their cataloge however, they have lots of nice new changes, and preview pages. *whah, no Chrno Crusade vol 2 release date yet*

I'm glad to get a chance to see what their Peace Maker Kurogane release is going to be like. The graphic editing's looks ok, but I don't get why they changed the cover which was in originally in simple terms "Kick ass" to the cover of well, would you pick up a manga with a happy guy holding a pig if you had no prior knowlege of the series? The only other problem I see with the release is they changed the title somewhat. Peace Maker has an English title, written in english, and they're combining the two words to make it Peacemaker. No biggie though I suppose.

I'm hoping to see the other comic Blade titles Firstking and and Tactics up there soon. Tactics, along with Peace Maker Kurogane and Matanteki Loki RAGNAROK are the releases I'm anticipating the most.

I'm just going to take the fact that Matantei Loki RAGNAROK not being on the cataloge yet is a good sign possibly hinting of their trying to get the first series, but then again their going ahead with Peace Maker without the original series isn't comforting. >.>' Ah well, I have the original manga, I'm not going to complain anymore.

Anyway, with that all being said, if anyone has looked at the manga pages, what titles are you looking forward to trying? I never heard of most of them, but I think I'll be picking up Your & My Secret, and Fantasy Land. I think fantasy land is a manwha, though that won't stop me. It sounds like Anatolia Story, which I like a lot.

I’ve looked at the list, and there’s nothing too spectacular (for me). However, I’m not a huge manga enthusiast, so keep that in mind.

I’ve read the small synopsis of “Apocalypse Meow “, so, I have little interest in that. It’s about a bunch of different animals, representing different nationalities, in the Vietnam War. It sounds different from the norm.

Hmm…”The Boss” sounds pretty good. I might pick that one up for sure. A case of kidnapping-mistaken identity proportions, all while trying to become the boss of the school? It sounds like something I would enjoy reading.

I’m not much of an ADV fan when it comes to manga. I don’t like their covers and they’re way too big for my taste. But I’m just nit-picking.

Maus won a Pulitzer Prize. I'm not holding my breath for Cat Shit One (aka. Apocalypse Meow).

Maus was the only way that I have ever seen the way that Jewish people were treated, and been able to actually stomach what I saw. For once I felt like the author was concentrating more on the story instead of the shock factor.

Back to the topic, I like ADV manga for Azumanga Daioh and Chrono Crusade. I feel like their translation jobs are actually pretty darn accurate. On a side note does anybody know if the anime version of Chrono was licensed by ADV yet? Thanks! Wink

...well don't I feel stupid. I don't even remember reading that article, but I should have assumed the licensing of the dub would soon follow. Sorry for the spam Crying or Very sad

I think ADV manga is doing a great job as far as I am concern. I have quite a few of their titles that I am getting from them not to mention anime DVD series that I got from them. They supply a third of what I get in manga and anime.

Full Metal Panic
Those who Hunt Elves
Azumanga Diaoh
Chrono Crusade
