a little disappointed. i mean i like Slayers, i guess i just expected something bigger though. no doubt what the last two are now.

Well I did want to see this one since lots of people seem to like it so this is good. Well I'm guessing eva will be the last license considering they know eva sells and soul eater will be tomorrow. Well I'm not to disappointed with these licenses.

So much for that person on here who claimed anything made more than ten years ago won't sell. Looks like Slayers fans are still around after all these years; and newbies are willing to give it a shot, too.

Not this newbie. The show looks terrible, in all it's iterations. Am I the only who is really disappointed by this license? The picture ANN has for it alone turns me off to the series. What are those things I'm looking at? 
Plus, the newer generation in general probably won't touch this. I can't imagine FUNi's going to pull in any of the crunchyroll crowd.... So who is going to buy this? Do they honestly believe they can make money off of it? I guess so, but it doesn't make much sense to me.

Digital release (hence DRM and such). And I can guess it'll be very late, to keep the licensors happy so no one can reverse import (it's getting too much annoying now).

I've been an anime fan for ten years and the show never caught my interest. As far as it suits me, I have Lodoss for OMG SERIOUS DRAMA, and I recently got Rune Soldier for HARLARIOUS HIJINKS. So I'm covered on both fronts.

Bummer, I'm not interested in Slayers at all. Oh well, 3/10 ain't bad. I hope Soul Eater and Nabari no Ou are scheduled for a 2009 release, though.

Maybe you should just give the show a shot, there are episodes for free on youtube. This "opinion" of yours sounds more like prejudice to me.
