The To Love-Ru franchise has been one of my favorite mindless fan service-focused franchises since its inception, so I'm always happy to see more get made. I've seen many comments suggesting that this one is edgier than any previous iteration, though, so I'll be curious to see how much of that remains intact into the anime version.

I haven't really read it but I wonder how much is gonna be toned down or are they gonna retain all the super raunchy goodness Laughing

lol, we must be the same wavelength. Maybe the fact that Xebec is doing it might make it more faithful to the Jump Square original... So. Very. Not. Safe. For. Work.

To Love RU was the worst anime I ever seen. This is not hyperbole. It's a ripoff of Urusei Yatsura, but they replaced the funny parts with mindless ecchi. It is wholly unoriginal, it is misogynistic, and it completely lacking in any redeeming qualities. And finally, when the original manga was cancelled, they turned the follow up into an soft core porn rag. And this is the show that gets made? Japan, I am disappoint.

It is edgier. It delves more into Yami's past and her relation with her "mother". Also, Momo is not only cute and sweet, but also quite vicious and very dangerous, according to ToLove-Ru Darkness. It's also implied that Lala is even more dangerous then her, but so far, that has not been shown.

However: the humor is still there, and there is a lot of ecchi for everyone.

Yami was my favourite character in the original anime, too. I bought this figurine mainly because of the hair.

Her hand can be replaced with her characteristic curved and hooked blade.

This is pretty good news. I'm much more a fan of Darkness than I was the original manga, and I'd rather not even talk about the first anime series. Unfortunately I think one of the best parts of Darkness is the artwork, which definitely isn't going to transfer over to the animated version, so I'm not sure if this one will hold my attention.

To Love-Ru Darkness is Super Interesting. I'm really happy about this, since the manga finally has direction and purpose with Momo trying to turn Rito into the harem king, and nudity factor is way up. With how Motto To Love-Ru was handled, this should be fantastic, on par with Ladies Versus Butlers or Kanokon.

Thank You Based Xebec.

I don't think the manga would be half as popular if it weren't for Kentaro Yabuki's artwork. He does some godly drawings.

Oh, Goody. I've been enjoying the manga for this one. Glad to see it make the jump to anime. Probably shouldn't be surprised as I've read that it's quite popular in Japan. I wonder if it will get a legit American release. Sentai did the earlier shows if I do recall.
