This sounds like a very terrible idea.

Yuko Goto sings Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit"...

The most hilarious sentence I've ever read.

Murasaki: Couldn't be any worse than his killer, er, widow, covering his music. Rolling Eyes

Anyway, I LOL'ed at the Offspring[Legit link.] thing. I'd like to see a video of that one.

Something about having a small Japanese girl sing about being a pretty fly white guy is both horrifying and amazing.
This may very well be both the best and worst idea ever.

If it were famous male seiyuu instead, though, I'd buy ten copies; "pretty fly for a white guy" by Mai Kadowaki? Nah. Same song by Tomokazu Seki? Sign me up.

This will be better than the Marimite Christmas album (in it's pure unintentional hilarity factor). Especially if it's sung in Engrish, Yuko Goto aside.

I wonder if this will be as funny as the CD I have of 5 seiyuu covering Simon & Garfunkel songs. Hearing Midorikawa Hikaru singing "Homeward Bound" and Yamaguchi Kappei singing "Cecilia" was HILARIOUS.

Ahaha this sounds great! I love Yuko Goto, Rie Tanaka, and Haruna Ikezawa, too.

Oh my god, I think I'm going to have to buy this for a laugh. Yuko Goto singing Smells Like Teen Spirit alone is going to be hilarious.

For all that's desecration and holy! This is as bad an idea as American singers covering Japanese songs! Shocked

If this CD sells, those music execs will get that idea. Mark my words! Someday, we all will regret it! Laughing

Bad idea.

Even (or perhaps especially) with Momoi in there – bad, bad idea.

There is a chance, that the songs sung by Gotou & Shimizu will be decent. The 8 other songs are worrying me...

So now you, the listener at home, can experience bad Japanese karaoke as if you were right there in Tokyo!

Somehow I can't help but think that this is simply the anime industry's revenge for what Hollywood has been - and still is - doing to anime. Laughing
