Its not a prequel its a sequel to death note the last name its L's last 28 days alive

no. 23 because if it were 28, the rule would be called the 28-day rule
-->the full rule-->[the death note can only operate within a 23-day window(in the human calendar). this is called the 23-day rule]

you see, it cant be 28-->that's why it's also called "last 23 days of L"
