Funi just put the first 4 episodes of the english dub to Casshern Sins on their video portal. It's one of my all-time favorite animes(ironic because emo-esque animes usually piss me off...) so my thoughts so far on the acting:
Casshern- Eric Vale is doung a much better portrayal of him than I thought he would, as I thought he'd sound too angry. There are a couple of times where his voice sounds gravelly, but a pretty good performance so far
Lyuze: Whatever Palencia is doing seems to be working. Lyuze doesn't have that many lines in the beginning, but she seems to be melodramatic enough to get the job done.
Ringo: BEST perfomance so far, Monica Rial sounded like an authentic little girl and it felt like I was hearing Ringo's seiyuu in english(it's supposed to be less awkward than it sounds...)
Ohji: He had a grand total of 3 or 4 lines so it's a bit early to judge the performance, but his VA sounds like an old man so I guess it works
Braking Boss: When I first heard Paul Slavens Braking Boss, I almost clicked off the video player(it sounded a but to highstrung). It's not so much that Slavens's acting is that terrible, but considering that Braking Boss sounded loud and booming, I think Sabat would have made more sense. Well it does get a bit more tolerable by the second episode, but I'm gonna question what they didn;t use Sabat for the rest of the dub...
I won't mention any of the side characters because their all one episode deals, though Carrie Savage did a pretty awesome Sophita...
Well a few annoyances aside it looks like it should be a solid dub, I just REALLY hope that Slavens can improve as Braking Boss

I think Eric Vale's problem is that he sounds too weak, as opposed to Tohru Furuya's deeper (voice-wise), thoughtful, and often intimidating sounding Casshern. But Vale brings a sense of vulnerability that works for the role.
Anyway, it's a pretty decent English dub, I'll give it that.
