At the very last episode spoiler[ the band that the bassist from beck was playing in before beck re-formed, were they the pillows...? There songs sounded so damn familiar! ]

Beck Episode 26 featured popular Japanese Rock Group The Pillows' Sawao Yamanaka as a cameo character. Yamanaka's in-series band, The Heroes (An obvious pun based on the katakana for "The Pillows") even plays several Pillows songs.
