I'm wondering if there is a website that is like Anime News Network but focuses on Manga with reviews and community ratings and polished looks and all? I know this website also covers manga but it takes a very obvious backseat to the anime and many less people rate and discuss the manga than the anime. So any help?

MangaUpdates.com has a lot of manga-specific info for a ton of series and artists, and I find it very useful for stuff like when a series was published, who the creator is, what magazine it ran in, summaries, ratings, etc. I don't know how it fares for reviews though, and its users seem rather more scans-focused, so I prefer ANN for its legal-publication-centered reader discussion.
Good sources for reviews would be MangaBlog, which has a great roundup of recent manga-related news and reviews nearly every weekday, and Manga Views, which archives links to reviews of many series, with more being added all the time. |
