I peeped game as soon as I saw that bullshit, smh

Despite the stated problems with its premise, I've taken enough of a liking to Frontier Lord that I'll probably keep following it, partly because it's given me a Dances With Wolves vibe and partly because Alna is one of my favorite recent character designs. I'm also much more tolerant on Oh Boy, Was I Wrong About Her, despite the awful title. Generally agree with Coop and Lucas on the others.

The first five minutes of Heavy Knight gives you what I think is a preview of the entire season in a literally dizzying display of ridiculously over-animated combat sequences and nonsensical camera angles. I had to pause and laugh out loud at all that visual noise before continuing on.

Completely agree on this point, I don't think Tenbin belongs on this list, and it needs a more memorable localized title. The premise is not entirely original, but the writers are doing a good job selling the chemistry between the lead characters.
I'd also put Ogre's Bride on this list, replacing Duke's Son. I think the world-building in the latter has potential (whether it realizes that potential is another matter), whereas the former makes less sense the more I think about it.

I wish GoHand would get a Neil Breen like writer, it'd be fun to watch and laugh at baffling bizarre visual choice they do, but their story are usually just uninteresting cliche fest, without any of the bizarre decision that feature in most "so bad its good", and that really limit the enjoyment, you've seen one and you've kinda seen them all (I think, I only fully watched one and drop pretty quick at the second one I tried).
Chainsmoking cat really doesn't belong with those show, ultimately chainsmoking cat know exactly what it wants to be and has the resource and talent to achieve this. Its a very peculiar choice that will limit its appeal, but it knows that. While most other show are clearly trying to be carbon copy but on a budget of something else.
Can I submit tomb raider king as a potential bottom barrel feeder? Literally the most interesting thing about it is its title. What about living lady guide...blahblahblah? Level 999, you don't even have to watch it to get to the inevitable JRPG mechanic. Overshowed (I wish I could say it will ironically be overshadowed itself, but there's nothing ironic about that).

Im really sad on how WSR turn out even though i have low expectations when it got announced and saw the character designs. Since im skeptical it wouldnt be good at all. For how the story in the novel is too slow and the heavy focus on lore/world build/setting. Apparently, because people are so used to isekai episode 1 already missed the mark in a mile or even further just from explaining stuff. Clearly theres need some changes on how the story went through since wont stay on it if its already boring

And as we all know, Japan has no history of colonizing a land, despoiling it, and driving out the indigenous population, so this is just a silly foreign concern.
Anyway, as someone who lived for two years in Hokkaido where Japan did just that, yeah it’s a realty problematic premise that could be handled quite poorly if writers aren’t careful.

Honestly this could've been twice as long.
Is it maybe an unspoken site policy to sort of ignore that the ones with boobs exist? I'm new here so I don't know. There seem to be shows that are carried through the season on the weekly episodes page that aren't really mentioned in the articles about the season. Like last season's yowayowa sensei or this summer's kamui: he's behind you.
Those are both terrible, terrible shows. Not because they have boobs though. Many of the best, most respected films ever made have nudity or sexuality in them. Those are just normal things of real life. If you went to imdb or rottentomatoes and any show that had a boob or a sex scene was vaguely "disappeared" from lists or reviews...that would be pretty weird right.
I don't know if Kamui is allowed to be on this list, but boy does it deserve to be. If you read the premise of that show on paper you'd think that's a pretty dark and twisted setup that could produce some solidly shocking genre content. I mean we've all seen the exorcist. It's not for babies. Then you check this thing out and it's hard to believe you're even watching the right show. It's like they tried to hide what the show is about under so much flavorless cake frosting that you think you're at a kids party. I don't know, maybe that's actually what they tried to make. A show about raping ghosts to death...for kids? Like "I'm 13 and you wouldn’t believe this anime I discovered that's SO WILD to me"?
I was left sitting there thinking "this is the weakest sauce imaginable". How can you make this idea this boring? Definitely my vote for worst of the season.

Even if Japan never had a story of it, it would still be pretty problematic to write a story like that without ever having done the most basic of research on the topic. The fact that there's a scene where he wipe out a buffalo herd also seems to imply that the author is aware of this problem and just ran with it anyway.

What, specifically, do you disagree with? Hard to take this as anything other than trolling if you don't elaborate.

I've been liking Frontier Lord myself. The colonizing fantasy with a cute tribal girl like Alna just appeals to me, I guess. Shame it'll probably be buried under all the big hits of the season like Mushoku Tensei, Ghost in the Shell, Tanya, and 100 Girlfriends.

Some of us appreciate seeing the weird camera angles and other psychedelic effects in anime. OK, not many but it should be accepted as a legitimate choice (and certainly not dismissed as trolling or a sign of intellectual inferiority). After all, no one here is forced to watch a GoHands show.

That's because being forced to watch a GoHands show would violate the Geneva Conventions.
