This I want to see. But of course I'm quite partial toward Lupin III.

I just want it to prove more interesting than their special from a few years which I found disappointing.

Wasn't it? Lupin and Conan only have one real scene together and all that really happens is that Conan guilts Lupin into paying for a can of soda he stole from a machine. "Versus" indeed! |

Yeah, but would you really want to see them go against each other? I mean, if you're a fan of one or the other, sure, but if you're a fan of both, you wouldn't really want to see either or them fail. So either Lupin escapes and Conan loses, or Lupin gets caught and Conan wins. If they really went against each other, some of the fans would have to be disappointed. Besides, Japan seems to use 'VS' to mean "In the same movie" rather than "Against". See every Super Sentai 'VS' movie ever. |

Yeah, "VS" can just mean "with" in Japan. It's not to be taken literally all the time. And yeah, any true confrontation would end up with one side losing, which will upset fans of the other. The best you can hope for is a small confrontation then they team up to stop a bigger threat, like in the last special where Conan and Lupin helped save a princess from being murdered. |

Which is why Aliens vs. Predator movies are always a bit disappointing to me. I always want the Aliens to win

^ Blunt but true. Although I'm actually looking forward to this movie, it's sad to see the studio which produced some of the greatest classics of my childhood (Ie naki ko, Versailles no Bara, Cat's Eye, Space Legend Ulysses 31 etc.) having to rely only on Lupin and Conan... |

Nope, you're certainly not alone - I really can't wait for this movie, I'm hoping it's gonna be the crossover that both series deserve. This teaser just didn't really give me anything to comment on.
