I got the .hack//liminality OST the other day, my third .hack soundtrack, and I have to say .hack//sign OST 1 is still my fav. soundtrack of the three. What's everyone else's fav. .hack OST? or fave .hack song? My fave. .hack song so far is Aura.

In all honesty, after seeing the whole show fs, I got incredibly tired of the soundtrack. It got to the point where the soundrack alone was carrying so many scenes that I considered it a character unto itself. This is not to say it is bad, but it gets repetetive and started to wear on me. There are much better anime soundtracks out there, usually with more varied types of music as well. Oh, and I would say "The World" is probably the strongest track of the musical score.

I dunno... I personally like the beginning theme of .hack//Liminality Vol 2 In the Case of Yuki Aihara, "A Thousand and One Nights" a lot. And the ending theme of .hack//Liminality, Tasogare no umi (well, thats the japanese name... englis is something along the lines of Twilight Sea) is really good too.

I'd have to say, as much as I loved the .hack//SIGN songs, my favorites are mostly in the .hack//Liminality soundtrack. 'Kimi ga Ita Monogatari', 'Kioku', 'Tasogare no Umi', and 'Senyaichiya' are my favorites.

I assume Fiction is the soundtrack title right? If so, can you tell me where to order it? I only know one website the sells anime soundtrack, and I'm sure they don't have Fiction in stock.

Actually, Fiction is the American release (from Pioneer) of Kajiura Yuki which features a compilation of remixed tracks from her previous works including Noir and .hack//SIGN among others and some original music made for the album. There is a review here: http://www.animeondvd.com/reviews/musicview.php?review=2115 You should be able to find it anywhere in America where you can buy CDs. |

Actually, trying to find anime soundtracks at popular music stores is quite a challenge. I tried Best Buy, Warehouse Music, Sam Goody...eventually, I found it at Suncoast, which actually has many of the anime soundtracks that have been released in the US. |

so far the only way to get the Hack osts is either buy the special edition DVD's or buy the legit japanese imports. but I read somewhere bandai plans to release them seperatyly.

Yea Suncoast is pretty much the best bet for anything like anime CDs. I'd personally rather have the Japanese releases but if the American ones are the next best thing, why not? But it sucks, the nearest Suncoast for me is an hour drive. They should release See-Saw's songs. Kajiura Yuki is a great composer, but See-Saw is a great duet with an awesome CD out called Dream Field. Beautiful music on there.
