translations please?

does anyone know where i can find a website or something that is very accurate at translating words from Japanese to english, mainly because some of the names on this site are only in Japanese (or part of their names) and i want to see what they would be in english.

Oh, i'm not sure if it's right but i hope that, before locking it (if it's not right), someone can help us cause i need a little help with a similar thing too.
¿could you tell me which is "the official english dictionary"? i mean, the "couldn't be more right and official", i don't mean traduction, just en english dictionaro in english that has been assumed as official.
Anyway... if someone needs the "spanish couldn't be more right and official", the place to go is http://www.rae.es/ (sure that nobody needs it anyway hahaha).

That's almost impossible, Japanese is extremely difficult for computers to translate.

Unlike Spanish, French, and various other languages, English speaking countries tend to leave their language to develop by itself, rather than trying to control it. The nearest thing you can get to an "official" English dictionary is the Oxford English Dictionary, this is available online here but it's very expensive. If you don't mind some older American English dictionaries then you can go here, that one is free.

Here's the one that I use. First you have to use the drop down menu to change it from English-->Japanese to Japanese-->English. Then you press the translate button which is right under the first block of text. The other button clears all text. It's generally pretty good at translating names though, and that's all you said you need. Of course it's not perfect and you won't ever find one that is cause Japanese just can't be translated perfectly by computers. Even people who translate Japanese without a computer don't have exactly perfect translations.

this one doesn't do translations of sentences, but it's quite useful for single word look ups (mostly because it has romanji)

there was another one that i liked, but i can't remember the link

For single words I use Jeffrey's (there's another one I also use sometimes, but it's on a fansub site so...)
For sentences and URLs I use Excite (choose the second option from the box in the middle)
