|
I often have trouble with understanding what exactly happenend at the end of some animes. More people than me probably do too. This can be a thread that people can ask questions from things that they don't understand from the endings of all animes.
s-CRY-ed ended recently. I don't understand what happanend with spoiler[Couger. He was alive but he was dead earlier but then he died again.] I don't get it. Please help. Thank you. [Title changed to reflect thread content. -Nagi] |

spoiler[He used the last of his power to rescue the others from whats his face in the creepy tower. After doing this he couldn't save himself, he had used to much power and was practicly dead. So he used the last of his power to let him see the fight between the main characters. To see how they finnished it.] I hope that makes sence.

it was a confusing ending when kanma let go of her ribbon was it a few years later and she never saw kazuma again or what.

spoiler[yea she was a few years older (and more beautiful then ever) and Kazuma was still out fighting against the mainland for her,]
and i also have a question about S-Cry-Ed, spoiler[it was Kazumas Fist that was raised in the end of the episode declaring that he won right?] BTW: That was the greatist series of all time, I cried my eyes out for the last 5 episodes, it was AWSOME!!! |

Did anyone notice that spoiler[long hair future Ryuho looked alot like Commander Jigmar? Could he be becoming like him?]
And did spoiler[kazuma's hand mean his victory? I know that it was his hand though.] I agree with inuyasha1357, GREAT SERIES! I didn't cry though... |

First off about the fist being raised, we had a discussion in this very forum when the series first began to air on adult swim, and what we came up with was that spoiler[it was a choose your ending anime. The fist COULD have meant victory but if you think about it, Kazuma always raises his fist to begin a battle so IMO they were going to continue to fight, that ¨never give up¨ attitude they both have.] A couple of questions are left unanswered though so many of your questions, do ryuho/kazuma and mimori/kanami end up living together with a fairy tale ending, never get answered.
If you liked the anime, I suggest you pick up the manga. The story and some characters/alters are different but I would have liked to see the manga story animated instead of the current anime story. I know I shouldn´t compare anime and manga but IMO the manga is better and it´s only 5 volumes, so it´s not too expensive to buy. |

I'm pretty sure spoiler[Kazuma won. If you look closely at the fist you can tell it's his. Anyway I liked the fact that they were so even in power that it came down to a straight up endurance match of pure fists and not stronger alters. I viewed the ending in the way boxing works, when you get that double knock out punch the first who can get up is the winner. I saw it as the fact that Kazuma raising his fist was a representation of his determination, and that while it was very slim, unlike Ryuho he was able to muster up just a little more strength to raise it. It was his own way of declaring victory. However that given I believe that both characters don't think that the battle was truly decisive, so thier fight is never over. I didn't catch the ending last night but own the show on DVD and I'm a little sketchy on the ending in some parts but I remember them both saying something that at the end that sort of hints at what I think the ending is all about. As far as Mimori and Kanami, they don't end up with Ryuho or Kazuma respectivley. Kazuma and Ryuho's desire to fight eachother and the mainland outweighs any feelings they have for them.] Then again that could change if there was a sequel. However I heard the plans for that were scrapped which is unfortunate. In any case I think sCRYed had a great ending. Also at the time when I first saw it (pre-Gantz) it had been a long time since I had seen anything so violent (although sCRYed was raw and gritty opposed to pure gore which I liked).

i'll ask anyway. was that the end of the series? after the elf-lookin guy (the mainlainder or whatever) was defeated? (i cant remember his name) |

spoiler[As mush as I would like to believe that kazuma won the fight I don't think that's what happen. I mean if kazuma did win then why do Ryuho and Kazuma continue to fight? The whole reason they're fighting is to prove once and for all who is the best, so I belevie that Kazuma raising his fist in the air just means the continuation of the fight between them.] Anyway that's my take on the ending of s-CRY-ed.

they are spoilers so if you want to see them you have to use mouse and highlight over them to see them 
and if they do make a sequel, wouldn't it be cool if they had to fuse both of thier Alters to defeat the bad guy at the end. srry, back on subject, spoiler[Kazumas fist at the end only proves that he is the stonger but that doesn't mean that Ryuho wont stop fighting him, and the same goes for Kazuma, and if Ryuho had won then it would not have been a fist he raised, it would have been his hand out flat like it is when he's in his fighting stance because that was his weapon at the end (the shield like weapon), and Kazumas would've been a fist, because like they said in the final episode, Kazuma: "I'll Crush You", Ryuho: "I'll Slice You"] |

Now that this is officialy a s-CRY-ed thread, I will talk more about it.
I really liked the fight scenes. They weren't boring like DBZ or Yuyu Hakusho fights. I loved seeing spoiler[kanami all grown up. Time has been good to her] 1 little thing: I learned from sources that the show is call s-CRY-ed because of spoiler[Kanami's alter] s-CRY-ed is actually scryed, which means To see the present from far away. This is used becaused spoiler[Kazuma and Ryuho ae being scryed by Kanami.] This term is used in the popular Inheritence Trilogy. |
