iBooks (iTunes) only works on iOS while Kindle works on Kindle, Android, mac, windows, AND iOS.

Apple is even worse. Best bet is to either write a general web app or Android app which then connects to non-google-marketplace server for content (Crunchroll does this in order to offer content they can't offer through their iOS app)
The issue is that Amazon has the most visibility. I wonder though if you can offer free censored content on Kindle in order to market your "full" version on your own program i.e. at the end of the ebook mention "If you want to full version go visit Animate, or DMP website, etc" like for those Animate mentioned were blocked by Amazon
