Yes, it's just a recap episode. Many anime have recap episodes that cover past events, and Wolf's Rain has a total of four of them.

Take a look at this review:
http://www.animeondvd.com/reviews2/disc_reviews/3481.php Also Marie-Antoinette's post in this thread: animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=19692 And this thread, too: animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=11942 Honestly, when I watched Wolf's Rain, I did a Forum Search for "Wolf's Rain recaps" after I watched episode 14, and decided not to watch disc 4. After finishing the series, I don't really feel like I missed anything. |

Nope, you can skip all four of those episodes (I believe they were not even aired on Cartoon Network) and you would not miss a single thing. It's 100% recap. The only thing you may miss is a musical piece or two not heard anywhere else in the series. But I'm not even sure about that. |

They were done during the SARS epidemic in China. Can't outsource animation to a quarantined area now, can you?
