There are some other Japanese language threads, but I thought it'd be neat to have a thread dedicated to posting various words you've learned from anime. Share the learning experience with everyone!
Here's a link to an online Japanese-English dictionary for checking definitions and making sure you heard the word correctly - http://dict.regex.info/cgi-bin/j-e/dict For me, today's viewing of the third episode of Karin (Happiness is Embarassing, I think was the name) taught me... Kyuuketsuki (吸血鬼) - Vampire and Shiawase (幸se) - Happiness, Good luck |

Alright, I'll play along.
Yosh=Alright/ ok Kaizoku=Pirate Obviously from the second word, I learned these two from watching subs of One Piece. |

Heh, does the Twelve Kingdoms count? Heh, it may not be relevant outside that series but you sure had to learn quite a lot of terms and meanings to really understand that series.

While I appreciate the opportunity to learn new things, the premise of this thread, in particular, along with the current style of presentation isn't striking me as very constructive.
Simply listing words you "learned" from anime doesn't do much for trying to actually learn the entire Japanese language. One language thread is enough for now. |
