Looking for Manga like Naruto and Bleach ) pleas help (
I searched everywhere.. Mayby whit less volumes otherwhise it's going to be a bit expensive |

So basically you're looking for a short shonen series if i'm not mistaken? If soo that'll be hard to find since pretty much all shonen series like Bleach and Naruto are just as long. Pretty much shonen series I would recommend One Piece and Hunter X Hunter.

Money wise I'd say Death Note, since there aren't that many volumes of it and the manga is ending in Japan.

Hmmm, well, if you're looking for good shonen manga that are a bit shorter (less than 30 volumes, which is average for shonen) here's a few I can think of...
Yuyu Hakusho (19 volumes, complete) Dragon Ball (16 vols, not counting the 'Z' portion) Rurouni Kenshin (28 vols, almost all out in English) Sandland (only 1 vol) Cyborg 009 (10 volumes, older series that is harder to find) And as fighterholic said, Death Note is only about 13 volumes, but it's very different from Naruto and Bleach so you might want to try it out first before buying it. One Piece and Hunter x Hunter are great shonen series (the HxH anime is excellent as well) but they are quite long so be careful. |

Black Cat is also a lot like Naruto and Bleach in that instead of soul hunters (whatever they're called) or ninjas you've got bounty hunters. Some parts are pretty weak, but there's a fair amount of character development, action, and a fairly cohesive plot. It's about 20 volumes, so not too long, eh?

I highly recommend Flame of Recca. It is a total of 33 volumes (not short, but shorter than Naruto) and up to volume 17 has been released from Viz in English. It is my absolute favorite Shonen action/adventure manga. It has one of the best villains (Kurei) and it has a main female character that can kick ass with the rest of the guys (unlike Sakura and Orihime, both of which mainly sit on the sidelines and get rescued by the guys). |

I'd recommend One Piece. There are only 10 volumes currently out for it in the states, but in Japan, there's alot more (maybe between 30-40 volumes). It's a very long series, and coming out slowly in the USA, but it's a really great manga, so it's still worth checking out. It's alot like Naruto in many ways really, esp the main character, Luffy, who is as determined (and hard headed) as Naruto, but less serious.
Basically, it's a fun to read action/adventure (lots of adventure) manga with charming characters. Edit: I love topics like this...I could always pick up some good recommendations for myself. Flame of Recca looks great, I gotta check it out. Thanks HitokiriShadow! |
