Okay recently I had just finished watching the series and was fairly pleased with the series. I loved the story, animation, music and characters as well as their designs. To me at least it was a well rounded anime however I do have some complaints about it. Early on when I was still started watching the series I found out it was supposedly gonna last for 52 episodes. I thought that was great however I later found out it ended at episode 23. This was disappointing to me in that the story was great and could have lasted 52 episodes yet it seemed like once 23 was the final number for the episodes everything became rushed. The backstories of a lot of the characters were shortened and the plot twist and the end just seemed so sudden. The introduction of the Sweeper Alliance was cool but due to time constraints one could not feel much for the new characters. The fights kept themselves at reasonable lengths though I wanted more and the last episode just cut things too short leaving me feeling as though the victory was like no challenge to them. Also the inclusion of the man who trained Train was just soo abrut to me. Anyhow though it was enjoyable there were alot of faults in this series. Do a lot of you feel the same way about this series?

Horrible. The first few episodes were good, or at least the concept was interesting enough to make me think it was good, but then after about episode 5-6 everything was downhill. They overplayed the dead girl's role way too much. Have her reappear as a different character and a different name? Stupid. I don't even want to get started on the ending. I don't know if they could've done a better job with 52 episodes (they certainly can't do worse... or maybe...) but the way it turned out = one of the worst anime I've seen.

I can agree on the series feeling very rushed, or at least, very overwhelming. I know there were some episodes (episode 18 comes to mind) that was such a sensory overload that I almost couldn't take what I was trying to be fed. Fights, lighting, music...all just magnified.
All in all, I was glad to see the Black Cat anime end. I would've kept watching it if it were 52 episodes, since it wouldn't have felt as rushed, but I'll just go with the manga instead.
I loved the earliest episodes though, but the flow of the later episodes really hurt my overall appreciation of the series. I say there's a reason shonen series are 100+ episodes long, and I point to Black Cat as proof that speeding up the story isn't going to make it better.

It was ok the characters never really gripped me though I can see why it was cut down to 23 episodes though. Alot of series should just stay as manga.

Like they have aleady said... the ending was way too rushed. I loved the first half a lot more than the second. After Black Cat defeated the dude witht eh nanotechnolgy and magic... it was all downhill. My god.. It WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH BETTER had it gone 52 imo. It seriously felt like the second half was a summary of what the last 40 episodes woudl have held.
