How do you guys handle yourself when a great anime you enjoyed ends, and when it does you feel so empty inside and can't stop thinking about that anime. For example I finished watching both Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien and Full Moon wo Sagashite and its been 2 weeks so far and i still can't get over it. I can't even think properly in school. I don't even enjoying playing World of warcraft now ( Only benefit), which i was highly addicted to, instead i look through forums to get more info on the anime.
Because of this experience i may never watch anime again... Please give me some advice on how to handle this |

Haha I know how you feel and so do the many other anime fans that ask: "is there going to be another season of (insert anime here)?". I haven't really found a solution to quickly remove this feeling. However in due time you will forget about it once you find more anime that were just as amazing as the one you saw. Don't let a good ending that leaves you wanting more to stop watching anime because then you'll be missing out on a lot of great anime out there. Cheer up and look for more anime thats how i've done it so far though I guess thats not much of a solution.

The way I see it, there's three things you can do:
1.) Find a new series. I generally have at least two going at a time so that when one finishes, I have another to fall back on. 2.) Immerse yourself in the fandom. Read or write fanfics. Look up or draw fanart. Find other fans and chat with them. 3.) If there's a manga, start reading that. I never get depressed when a series I like ends. ...unless, of course, it's a sad ending, but that's entirely different. |

Dude first off World of warcraft is not worth your time. In my opinion that is because i to was once a bit of a victim of Morpg and i know how highly addictive it can be. I found that in anime you find yourself submerged into an unknown world. Especially after watching an anime which you have found personally moving or hard hitting.
I know when you watch animes like that its hard to get it out of your system for a while. You may not like it but I found it was a damn sight better than wow. I know look at wow and its total lack of story line and over all plot, with its not so good graphics and bad quests, and think what the hell was I thinking. Allow yourself to be immerged in anime. Its good looking though this site. It helped me a hell of a lot for find out what the hell to watch next, and trust me watching another anime does help get the constant memory of the present anime out of your head. If this site is found a little useful then you might want to check out the rec's on http://www.anime-planet.com/animerec Listen I don’t know if what I said makes any sense, but if you’re worried about not playing wow because of anime don’t let it bother you. Keep watching anime you'll find it a hell of a lot more beneficial than wow. In the long run anyway Hope that helped, and good luck Space |

I'll usually start making up a continuation of the series in my head. If I didn't like the ending, I'll make up a different one in my head until I'm satisfied, and then I'll make up a continuation in my head and imagine what the characters' situations are like after the ending and so on. Eventually I'll get tired of imagining, and by that time the "trauma" of the series ending will have been gotten over with already (3 days?).
I made up a whole new arc of Mai-HiME in my head until I got sick of doing so and I realized that what I had just thought up of was lame beyond words. |

Excellent advice I actually sometimes find myself lowering my standards just in order to have more animes to watch.. - better instead to enjoy and savour the really good ones over and over again. Quality over quantity! |

Oh man, I couldn't get over it when I came to the end of Last Exile when it aired on G4. I kept half the episodes I recorded on my tivo and wouldn't delete them
No other anime has done that to me that badly. There have been better anime that I've watched since then, but now I know to just buy it if I can't see it on tv, so I can hold on to it. |
