Awfully early too. But, I think I'll watch it anyway. I love my VCR! |

That's great to hear... but 5:00 AM? What the hell!? Why so early? Meh... screw it... LydiaDianne has the VCR, I on the other hand have a DVR. I'm just upset for those who have neither and will have to get up so early to see it.

Maybe Cartoon Network is doing their part to fight insomnia and sleep deprivation by airing a .hack// series at that timeslot.

I really want to see .hack//ROOTS, so I would be very happy about this, but 5:00 AM? Wow.. I used to stay up late a lot, but I'm not sure I'll be able to do that now. I'll probably end up buying the DVDs anyway, so I guess it wouldn't matter much if I missed it, but I would like to see it as soon as I can. Maybe I can still find a way to watch it on TV...

What an awful timeslot. That's freakin' hilarious.

Wow, that's pretty pointless. I could see them using that slot to finish off underperfoming series (like they did with Yu Yu and Gundam), but to START a series there?
Whatever. I guess it's good for those who haven't seen it, and I doubt it would do very well in any other slot anyways. It's not a very good series unless you're a total .Hack geek, or at least a MMORPG geek (I happen to be both from time to time). |

Yay! SIGN is one of my favorite Adult Swim views, so I'm really happy about this. I expected it, though not this quickly.
Not completely surprised by the timeslot though. If I remember, that's where Legend of the Twilight Bracelet ended up. The Hack franchise must not have done well ratings wise in general. |

I'm not that surprised that it landed on a "bad" timeslot. With probably an exception of .hack//DUSK, wasn't //ROOTS even more leisurely paced than //SIGN? Not many people would be able to take Bee Train's usual slowness.

No .hack series has ever aired on Adult Swim. They have aired either on Toonami or general CN.
Because .hack has no adult content. |

Didn't it air at 11:30 Saturday nights (here on the U.S. east coast, at any rate)? I thought that counted as Adult Swim. I could very well be wrong though, and wouldn't argue. Anyway, although it has nothing in it that's too graphic, I would still suggest SIGN for adult viewers largely because it's conversation driven and would probably bore most younger viewers. spoiler[Younger kids might also be disturbed by what The Voice does in the second half of the series and the inferences of child abuse in the real world - not to mention the hospital/coma scenes. I wasn't even all that young when I first saw it, and I still found the attempted life-support cutoff scene in Tsukasa's hospital room and Sora's final sequence disturbing even though they weren't graphic.] |

Wow so there actually going to play Roots....well this might mark the second .hack franchise to get cancelled. I am wondering how badly this property will be handle by Bandai, I don't have high hope thus far.

Adult Swim is not seven days a week, and has never been such. There's always been at least one or two (or three, even six when it first started) nights where Cartoon Network's regular programming fills in the late-night spot, and for a long time, Saturday was one of those nights. That was classically Toonami's realm (including Toonami's short-lived "SVGA" spinoff or whatever it was called a few more years back), and it's only been in the last year or two that Adult Swim has begun airing on Saturdays again (the last time that had happened was 2001 or so, when they first began airing anime that wasn't Cowboy Bebop). |
