It's heartbreaking, we've lost another one so young. Thoughts & Prayers for her family and friends.

Right on the heels of Iwata's death, my god. My condolences to her family and friends. -_-

Just when Mr. Iwata passed away three nights ago, this had to happen... Sad

R.I.P. Ms. Moreno. I will get to reading Marine Corps Yumi...

Edit: Unlucky that this had to be Post No. 1900.

I knew about her cancer when she posted about her condition in her facebook page where she explains why the english translation of Marine Corps Yumi took so long.

Her last post was heartbreaking since not only was her cancer preventing muscle growth, she couldn't walk without a nurse help. Despite this, she still had the Marine spirit where she tells her fans she will continue translating the series until her last breath.

Semper Fi Moreno. You maybe gone but your spirit lives with your manga. So in honor of her, read Marine Corps Yumi everyone. It's a great and funny manga about being a female Us Marine.

RIP

Wow. I mean wow. This is really something. While I'm familiar with Seven Seas, I'm haven't read anything that she's worked on. Really sad. I send my deepest condolences to her friends and family.

Thanks for the link. I read the post your were talking about and wow, she didn't feel sorry for herself once in that post and kept positive until the end. It hadn't even been a week when she posted it! Very strong woman that died today I see. Very sad she had to go through that. I can't imagine the kind of pain she was in. At least it's over for her. I hope they do a tribute for her on the website or something acknowledging her work.

I may have never heard of her name until now but I can recognize that we have lost such a talent for this industry.
