Great review!

I was happy when Soji finally realized his feelings, mostly because it was starting to get tiresome after 22 volumes.

It would be nice if Viz would consider releasing at least 2 volumes a year since there are 37 volumes in Japan.

Wow...one release per year? Strange that. I wonder what 2029 will be like...as that will be the year Viz "catches up" to what the Japanese audience ,for this manga, have read....

Ahh yes, the annual Kaze Hikaru release.

I've been interested in this series, but given its length (still ongoing!) and North American release schedule, it's intimidating to say the least.

Two a year would've been nice. At least Hayate gets that many! Crying or Very sad

Kaze Hikaru was one of the titles affected by the manga contraction several years ago. Viz cancelled a number of their under-performing Shueisha titles during that time, while the under-performing Shogakugan titles had their release schedules lengthened to reduce the "blood loss".

But, what a Viz getting out of these yearly releases? To me, and I admit to knowing next to nothing about the manga business, seems like they're contractually obligated to release it. Laughing

It just seems so strange to me. What kind of audience would they really be able to maintain with yearly releases?
