Well, that was kind of neat to see. While I didn't really care for "Swallowtail" at all, Iwai's work is always at least visually striking, and this did bring back memories of what a unique experience that film was.
That said, I vastly prefer his more restrained films (like "Love Letter" and both of the "Hana and Alice" movies). |
