Im never clear on exactly where they are available, especially here in Canada. Is it any store that sells comics, or only select stores? D:

It's easy to find stores, if you use the Store Locator on the site. You just put in your zip/postal code (or you can search for out-of-NA shops), and it'll show you the closest ones to you.

 First part of the article makes it sound as if it is strange that FCBD offerings are known ahead of time.
As for these, I don't think I've ever seen manga offerings in the past. At the very least, not within the last 5 years. Nice to see that they are a prt of this. And, people, please remember that comic stores actually pay for these. Some stores may allow for people to just come in off the street and grab one, without having to make any sort of purchase. But, a lot of them ask that you at least buy something in order to be able to take a FCBD issue. Stores usually have a sale going on for FCBD too. Hell, you might be able to grab something releated to anime/manga at a discount while you're there (depending on the store you head in to). |

There was the Avengers/AoT book last year (which was half that, and half prelude to the big Marvel crossover event). Viz generally has a manga preview book. Tokyopop and Viz used to both put out their "sneak peek" books during FCBD. There's more, too, but I can't remember them off the top of my head, and I'm not sure where my books are. It's just that this is the first year they've really been announced this early, and being Gold and Silver comics. Usually they're a surprise when we get there. |

Huh, I've never seen any manga up for grabs on FCBD. Could be I've just totally overlooked them. I usually head into a store on the day, along with getting some of the stuff through the online store when I make my pre-orders...
Wonder why I've never come across manga offerings before. |
