Malang is in East Java, NOT West Java.
You should pick better source next time, like otacouncil.

Better source... For me ANN has already picked a better one since they at Kaori are writing it according to official release, about the misstyping of east to west, looks like today they've fixed it to east java, the site (kaori) also said that there is some misstyping about that west part. Maybe if you have time you can visit them and see how they respond quickly to every correction by its readers
