If one goes out to play Pokémon GO at night, it helps to have a budding Trainer to watch for any signs of foul play...

^ Not even a nitpick or being rude considering the context of the article. Also, you forgot to mention Team Rocket. lol

It always sucks to not get the full story. I know details are probably left out for protection, but I wonder how it went from two people playing Pokemon Go to... this. Why did the guy even tell him he was Yakuza?

Bob: You play Pokemon Go too!?

Steve: Oh,hey new guy! It's rare to run into people at night! Yeah I love this game! Wanna batt-

Bob: I'm in the Mafia and I'm saying you broke my window.

Steve: But I-

Bob: DRIVE MY CAR FOR ME!

Steve: Are you so lazy that you can't even drive your own car, bro?

If the news is not a fake one (source is reliable after all) or the so called Yakuza executive is not a liar, then he can actually be in serious trouble commiting such a petty crime (by Yakuza standards), as I don't think Yakuza would risk their name and honour (they do have it) by going after such a small fry... unless the victim had some debt with them, of course.

That's easy. The inference is that I am Yakuza, if you don't do as I say, I will have you killed and maybe your family too. Or he might do it himself, you never know.

It could easily happen here in the U.S., with our mafia, drug gangs, and other unsavory groups. Especially, if they know who you are. It is very easy to find where people live once you have their name.

Let me get this straight. A Japanese yakuza who's playing "Pokemon Go" blackmails another player of "Pokemon Go" for some reason,we don't know. I've got a feeling that this guy's fellow yakuza are going to beat this guy up simply because he's playing this game. My goodness. This is getting really ridiculous.

This is possibly 1 of the most inappropriate times that I still have my avatar. This is because the Japanese Mastiff/Tosa Inu is favored in the dog fighting business by the Yakuza. Also, the largest Japanese dog breed's hails from from Kochi City, where veteran seyiuu Sumi Shimamoto is also from.
