If this were a 3DS XL I would have hopped on it immediately. Even though I already have a 3DS, I'm tired of my friend with an XL being like "omg it's so small" every time he sees mine.

Part of it has to do with the lower prices, the other parts of it has to do with Christmas. |

I'd rather pay a bit extra than venture into that hellhole. Thank god Australia doesn't have Black Friday. The Boxing Day sales are hard enough. |

Sure it's not as nice as the XL, but for half the price I would not say it's not worth it. I'm seriously considering it; $100 is a steal considering the increased processing power/reduced load times compared to the 3DS. |

I'd totally buy one one these (been meaning to upgrade from my original model red 3DS for a while now) if they weren't a Black Friday deal. No way I'm ever putting myself through that chaos again. Though with luck maybe they'll still be available after the fact. Knowing Nintendo though (and considering the fact that I can't even preorder the NES Classic), I doubt they'll be easy to find after the fact.
I've always thought the regular New 3DS models looked cooler than the XL's, it's a shame that they never really sold them outside of limited edition bundles and don't sell face-plates separate from the system itself. |
