Not to mention they got the director of Rurouni Kenshin, Gundam Unicorn and the original Hunter x Hunter. This will definitely be amazing.

"Project Altair". Eh you do know it's SnA right?

But this doesn't surprise me, MAPPA seems to be aiming for the female market a lot lately, DAYS, All Out, YoI!!

Yasssssss Very Happy I can see Kubbe Altu in the trailer PV; it looks so beautifully drawn!

I wonder how they'll adapt the character designs.

Holy crap! I just started reading Shoukoku no Altair a month ago. I trust Mappa and the staff looks good enough, pleasant surprise for sure.

MAPPA's output is immense. They've truly become the new Madhouse.

Dang, MAPPA is going in!!!! I never read this manga (if anyone has please tell me what you think of it). The director choice definitely persuaded me too. Very Happy I cannot wait for this to air!

The manga is great if you like history. It's historical fantasy about Fantasy Ottoman Empire's struggle against Fantasy Holy Roman Empire, trying to gain alliances in the rest of Fantasy Europe, making alliances, playing politics, fighting battles, etc. It's well thought out and well-written, based on real history, and it has a bunch of really good characters.

(It's similar to the Arslan novel, without the fantasy element... Katou Kotono should have been the one to do the Arslan manga adaptation. :/)

Say no more I'm sold!! Very Happy I shall take a look at the manga once I'm done catching up on a certain series. Hopefully it's be a great adaptation unlike the Arslan and Kingdom anime.

Omigosh, content-wise, it's already levels above Arslan, in my opinion. The character development of the main character is so much richer and evolves with the growing cast of supporting characters, most of them are so memorable and vivid. There's this sense of epic-ness that permeates Altair, something that Arslan lacks in many places.
I was quite the fan of Arslan when it came out but when I came upon Altair, it was like the difference of the sun and the star.

*go back to dancing in celebration*
