I'd like it better if they got the guy who directed Trick r Treat as that guy showed more of a love for the genre as well as promise than the Krampus director.
Theoretically it's the same guy but not so much in action. Godzilla 2014 was Edwards second film while its sequel will be Dougherty's third film and in both cases, their first major budgeted film.
Is it just me or is there a pattern emerging? Still, I like all four movies previously mentioned including Monsters so the producers are doing something right.

Eh, I don't really see a difference. Aside from Trick r Treat being a connected anthology story whereas Krampus is one focused narrative, they both mixed horror well with their respective holidays. I think this choice of director could work.
