Normally an anime Kickstarter with an attainable a low goal would seem a good thing, but I can't help but wonder why they'd turn to crowdfunding for such a relatively small amount?

it could be something to do with the arangement between them and STUDIO4°C, like they want some form of proof that there is interest before contributing.

My assumption is that the desired amount will cover the airfares of the staff who need to travel to Japan to finalise the deal post-Brexit. £4500 should cover an individual return...
