That is some impressive looking CGI animation. Here's hoping this is more of a success then Shin Mazinger.

Awesome. I can accept CGI mecha when they're integrated well with the 2D, and they definitely seem to be doing that!

Finally, a sequel to the series I get into. The other ones had such weird art styles since the original batch of tv/movies came out in 70/80s.
This looks like it will be excellent film. I just hope it appeals to more than long time fans though. |

Technically speaking there IS already a tentative release for Europe, at least in Italy it's expected to be released this October, as this poster shows:

I can't accept this CGI mech's in anime, every time I see a CG mech, it seems perverted to me. My personal rule to make good mech anime is, the mech has to be 2d animated, second it has to take place in a sci fi setting or cyber punk setting, and this movie did the first rule wrong.
