This is ridiculous. Laughing Laughing
Also, that's a pretty stupid rule for a talent agency. There definitely needs to be an exceptions clause, at the very least.

this is beyond stupid. Headshots are an important thing for any casting director to have in their possession. Are they afraid they are going to have their souls stolen or something?

Not if you also sell photographs of your talent.

Okay, it's still dumb but at least there's a reason for it.

He's in a wig tho. Seriously there needs to be exceptions in certain situations.

I was originally going to say was Ed is too small, hence why we don't really see him on the poster. You need a magnifying glass. Laughing

Joking aside and Hollywood standards aside, not sure if keeping your main character from promos would be good marketing no matter the culture you're in. I'm curious what the average non-anime, movie-goer in Japan thinks about this.

My friend already watched the LA in Japan (premiere? im not sure how this early) but he thinks it's was a really really bad adaptation. I won't spoil everything he said, but the CGI is the only redeeming factor of this movie. CGI is surprisinly good for a japanese movie.

That Johnny's company sounds legitimately psychotic.

What's the opposite of whitewashing, asianwashing? This film suffers from it big time.

Ah, if the movie decided to edit Yamada totally out and replace him with anime Edward Elric voiced by Romi Park I would probably laugh.

I understand that talent agencies like Johnny's Entertainment enforces very strict image policies to protect their clients from harm, but this is going way too far. I doubt Mr. Yamada-san would be that readily recognizable while having the wig on.

Does that mean that you can never find any Johnnys boy online?
It's such a weird rule for an idol agency.
