Now this is a first... the first Macross announcement that made me go "meh".
Even Macross 7 didn't give me that reaction..

But a compilation movie? Can't say I didn't see it coming..

Like all the other Macross movies it's likely to just be a loose retelling with plenty of new content.

I just hope spoiler[Messer] survives in this version.

I have high hope for this retelling since I wad disappointed with the original show.
Too much underdeveloped characters and redondant useless action sequences.
The main key visual seems to have ditched the 'girls band vs boys band' thing and that's good ! It feels more dramatic like this. Could be interesting !
