Uh! Maybe I should have waited for the PC release...
I just got my hand on the PS4 Version, and it feels so good still. Doesn't show its age like many of its fellow late-era PS2 games. Love the visual upgrades as well. I'm creaming my pants over it! Nostalgia! Hit me right in the feels! I was 16 when it came out, now at 28 it is a perfect time to play through it again. I'll probably be perfectly happy playing it on my PS4. ^^ |

I'd suggest this game to anyone who was curious about the plot in the original, but was put off by how long it took to get to point A to point B. The new turbo mode eliminates that problem, with the 4x option perhaps even being too fast.
That aspect was fine in the original game for me, at least for the main plot, but I got tired and never completed all of the hunts in the PS2 version. I've now been playing the PS4 version off and on and the only hunt I have left is Yiazmat. The Zodiac System is also a nice improvement. I do wish they would've added more extra cutscenes or sidequests, particularly since there are a few party members who could've used more development, but SE seems to rarely do that when re-releasing games. |
