I'm not sure if CHIMEKO sama has abandoned me and I am cursed to never feel their embrace again, or this is merely a blessing on their behalf...

Man, I’m still shocked that this is actually going to happen. I’m liking it though and the PV was solid. The music was quite fitting.

I got literal chills from watching that PV...her eyes man...but I love the creepy vibe to it!! This is what the anime needs...a heavy dose of Yandere Yuri..

God I can't believe this manga's getting an anime. It is so messed up, guys. This isn't even, like, lolicon cute or just a bit creepy. Almost every character is either psychotic, traumatized, or an asshole, or some combo of the three. It's a freaking trip.
I mean I do love it, but in the same way you love something like Death Note or Hannibal. In a "I'm really uncomfortable with what's going on, but I'm too fascinated to look away".

So it's just a crazy lady obsessed with a child? Zzz and I was excited when I heard more yuri. That's not to say it won't be interesting just not the type of yuri I was looking for.

The Happy Sugar Life trailer starts off looking nice and pleasant but much like the sanity of the main character it gradually goes right off the tracks. The yandere eyes were well done but when they zoom in and her eyes were a swirling abyss of madness that was when I knew that I was going to give this show a try.

How bizarre is this? Not that I'm complaining 
I wonder what really paved the path for Yuri anime. Was it Citrus or did it start earlier?

Considering that Citrus just started airing this season, and anime have lead-in times of about a year on average, there's no way Citrus started it. Besides, there's been Yuri anime for decades, I don't now what you're talking about.

I was on the fence about whether to try this one. I like horror, but the relationship between the girls had the potential to be too weird (which I realize is the point, but it's all in the presentation). This trailer convinced me that they know what they're doing, though. The tone was just right and the creepier visuals were well done. I'll probably give this a shot after all.

Absolutely love the manga (Sato and Shio are my OTP) and seeing a lot of those scenes animated was incredible, this studio is seemingly doing a fantastic job with Happy Sugar Life and I couldn't be more thrilled it's getting such a great adaptation.
