This series has great world building but man the main character has little to no personality.
Also incest context is so weird... |

Still remember when fangirls on the Internet convinced me to watch this because it was not a harem history and the main character was not OP...
Just to be a harem history with quite ballant incest and a magical-ninja-gunslinger-engineer as the main lead. When I pointed it out they got mad and told me about all the difficulties he had at casting magic... Who cares? He pulls all kind of magically ninja-enginery crap to kick everybody's' ass. Also, the damn Anime specs you to go and read the book/a web page for basic stuff about how the magic system works and if you don't you dont understand anything, what pisses me off its that 90% of the questions I had were answered on the first 7 pages of the manga, literally a 2 mins exposition on the Anime. Couldn't they cut the incest scenes enough to give a 2 mins. exposition? Imaginate Hero Academia without the 2 mins exposition on chapter 1 about how now everybody has super powers and only heroes are allowed to use them, that's how it feels. |

i have no interest in this show, honestly the only reason I looked up this article was so I could check all the hate it's getting on the forum. Was not disappointed.

I've never seen this but from the cursory information I have the mixture of magic and science in their world seems interesting. From the dislike of the main character and other story aspects this might be a case of the world being more interesting than the characters then. I think I will still watch Season 1 just to check it out.
