This was my one question about this. Glad they answered it before anyone could even really ask. Fantastic choice but of course no casting will be as perfect as the original. God bless Tomoko Kawakami.

I believe they know what they are doing, but I was always under impression that Hoko Kuwashima inherited all Tomoko Kawakami's roles.

Well, they clearly said "TV project", but they not indicate is it TV special or new series. |
The announcement said it was a project to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the first Aria television anime, but did not specify that the project itself will premiere on television.
