the original Another novel and manga are pretty good. Unfortunate anime though.

Only thing I really like about the anime is that they give Izumi more of a presence. |

I thought the anime was great, it was just the final episode went WAY overboard and the big plot twist worked well IIRC in the novel but in the visual medium it didn't quite work given the nature of the twist.
That was good, but I didn't like that it came at the cost of not only reducing Kazami's role by a large amount and then by the final episode he doesn't even resemble the character he was in the book. |

A 1200-page draft? Assuming that the thing gets approved and the published version is that length or close to it (like 1175 pages), a fan or official translation of that vol. would take a really long to translate. If an official translation, dividing it up into 2-3 vol. might be better.
