I hope everything works out well for him. Smoking and COVID is a really bad combo.

I had initial doubts that a minor character from Kaiji could carry a series but Mr. Tonegawa: Middle Management Blues was a worthy successor. I hope Hashimoto-san makes a full recovery and keeps his promise in regards to smoking. I smoked a pack a day for 30 years. I had a bit of smoker's cough and was congested. Seeing as it wasn't getting better I stopped 6 1/2 years ago, but the congestion wouldn't go away. A year later I was diagnosed with COPD, and the Dr. said I had permanently damaged my lungs. I chewed nicotine gum for about a year and it really helped in quitting. I hazard to wonder if I hadn't stopped - it's never too late.
