I really really hope they're not going to do the same they did with Yuuri on Ice. :/ I don't want "realism" - I want animation that conveys the power, the grace, the energy!
In real life athletics, dance, etc. are impressive because it's humans doing them, within the realities of their human bodies and the physical realities of the world aroundt hem. But animation is a different dimension completely. It's not real so just copying reality on it doesn't make it look impressive or cool, no matter how much work and energy it takes to make it look "realistic" and fluid. In animation you have to exaggerate to convey the same energy and effort and drama!

If were talking about the CG idol stuff I thought it was pretty bad in ZLS.

The second season greatly improved the CG parts, putting it closer to other idol shows that use CG well. I agree that the first season was incredibly rough at times though.
