"First part" implies a sequel.
Maybe the SRW appearance did create some additional buzz for the series, although an Ernie who has to share screentime with actual mecha protagonists and antagonists is naturally going to behave a lot differently than in his home series. |

Well, duh. Though it would simply be labeled "2nd Part", after all it's based on a novel so the story is already done... |

The novel is ongoing as far as I know (as the article says, a newvolume came out not long ago) |

I was referring to the fact that as the manga lags behind the novel, the story for second part is likely already mostly written... |
