That's a pretty cool key visual! Looking pretty fierce!

It was only a matter of time after all, given how good the manga is.

Yay! I haven't read a whole lot of the manga, but I really liked what I did read, so I can't wait to watch the anime!

Maybe it'll be a weekly TV series.

Well deserving of an anime and there's enough material for a TV series.

I became aware of this manga from a poll that came out earlier this year of "Manga You Most Want To See Animated." I had never heard of it and it was right around the time Viz were releasing the first volume. I'm glad I found it, it's been a joy to read. Looking forward to the adaption.

What makes Frieren so good is its unique atmosphere and mood that chronicles the passage of time for an immortal where years feel like days. An anime adaptation that remains faithful to the source material is going to be tricky to pull off.

The manga started with one of the best first chapters I've ever read, and there is enough good material for a solid first season. It then got bogged down in an overly long shounen-style tournament arc that an adaptation would be wise to compress/skip.

Is there any romance in it?

This is so good. Really was only a matter of time.

The manga really is great. It moves a bit quick but does so to cover a lot of ground, and its very effective.
