If it works for Marvel...Yeah, Maryrose and Rosemary are just fine as we'll se in S3! This one of the season's best and I can't wait.

I still don't get why s1 did an anime orignal arc at the end with an anime original ending only for a few months later to comeback and do s2 with the manga arc again when by the times 1 aired it had already plenty of chapters to adapt s2.
My guess this was just going to be your typical anime promotion but than changed their minds as it aired when it proved more successful than they initially expected.

If only those mysteries were presented better, with less faffing around, less wheel spinning, fewer obvious plot conveniences, fewer asspulls and ridiculous powers... I don't know if it's the adaptation or the manga was already like this, but the quality of the writing seems to have nosedived since season 1.
The last two episodes of season 2 were more interesting that anything that happened in the previous 5-6 episodes, by that time the show almost completely lost me and I only finished because I thought eh, there's only two episodes to go. And even these two episodes had ridiculous "revelations" like Maryrose & Rosemary's escape and whatnot. I already hate this sort of fake-out where an emotional scene is basically negated by "ha-ha! it didn't actually happen that way and it's not actually that sad!" but after an entire season of me going "ugh" and "why??!" it was just extra painful.
I hope whatever season 3 has in store will be better written than season 2...
