Well, we all knew a villain was coming eventually. (Especially when the first teaser poster showed a silhouette under Nozomi that was clearly Cure Dream, in a way that looks like it could be a new design.) And that sure does look like a villain to me.
Also, while I'm pretty sure the Splash Star girls are just here because Saki and Mai are close enough design-wise to Nagisa and Honoka to invokes the same VIBES as the original duo without actually letting Cures Black and White age, it has not stopped being amusing that both seasons involved in this used Ganbalance de Dance as an ending. I really, really want them to have all eight of the Cures dance to it together, it'd be adorable and a fitting anniversary tribute. At the very least I want the song to come up at SOME point in the show, even if it's just a quick gag.
